I think your argument may be an example of a fallacy called “generalization from an extraordinary example”. I’ve seen this type of fallacy happen in Bible interpretation quite often. We read an extraordinary example in Scripture and then generalize it to apply to us or our situation. I think Job’s example was a specific, extraordinary example. In that book Job’s suffering is meant to be understood as a result of a challenge to God from Satan, but I think it’s very difficult to actually prove that is what is happening in one’s own life when we experience suffering.
