Usually in evangelicalism, a leader’s sickness is a time in which the church rallies to pray for healing — its unusual MacArthur and his lieutenants would have kept his sickness concealed like they did. What a bizarre choice. I hope that this lie may help some in MacArthur’s thrall begin to question his legitimacy as a worthy leader.
