Yeah, Joseph, I’m responding to your comment…and I’ll respond to this one, too. Scripture tells us we CAN understand MANY of God’s ways. Here’s one: salvation is through faith in Christ. Is it possible to know that? Or do you want to cast doubt on that, too? This is what some Calvinists do when they are questioned about the idea of the reprobate in regards to God’s goodness: they muddy the waters and proof text the Bible to confuse the questioner. The problem remains the same: there is no logical way to describe God as good while also subscribing to reprobation. So, go ahead and punt to mystery. But don’t try to say we can’t know anything about God’s ways.
